Bruce Branit and Jeremy Hunt were honored by the Directors Board when they were presented with the Pixie Award as Best Directors. The Pixies are widely regarded as the Academy Awards of on-line entertainment.

The creators of 405 spent the past week in Singapore and Hong Kong in order to give a presentation on the creation of 405. The panel was well attended and featured step-by-step discussions of digital independent filmmaking.

The latest Aerosmith video, "Fly Away From Here," has been completed by Branit and Hunt's Strange Engine Productions. The video was directed by Joseph Kahn. There are 199 shots for which Strange Engine contributed 3D effects work.

Today marks the one year mark since 405 was premiered on the internet. It has been a long strange trip for this little film and its makers. We estimate that across the venues of the internet, 405 has been viewed at least six million times. Thanks to everyone who watched and enjoyed.

Strange Engine, the company Bruce Branit and Jeremy Hunt started after 405, has completed work on a commercial for the Seattle International Film Festival. Effects work was done by Strange Engine. The spot was directed by Branit and Hunt.

405 will be featured of the SciFi Channel's Exposure this week between 4/1 and 4/6. The show titled the Best of Exposure is where 405 will make its debut on the show.

405 has swept all of the Ifilm Movie Awards for which it was nominated. The awards won were Best Picture, Best Director-Live Action, and Best Film Under 3-Minutes. Thanks to all of you in the on-line community who voted.

Bruce and Jeremy participated in a panel discussion, 405 The Movie, A Case Study, at the South by Southwest Film Festival this weekend. This Austin Texas film and music festival is fast becoming one of the premiere annual events on the festival circuit.

HBO and the US Comedy Arts Festival have nominated 405 for Best Live Action Comedy. The nomination is in the Best of the Web category. The festival is held in Aspen, Colorado.

Ifilm has named 405 as the Live Action Online Film of the Year. It shares this award for the year 2000 with George Lucas In Love.

Today, 405 registered its three millionth view on Ifilm. This is the total number of views since June 5th of this year. It is unknown exactly how many additional viewers have watched the film here at 405themovie.com.

Detour Magazine's annual "Young Hollywood" issue is on newsstands now. This years issue features a special section on Digital Hollywood. Jeremy and Bruce are featured with a brief question and answer section on various obscure topics.

The 405 makers were honered to be on a discussion panel during the L.A. visit of ResFest. The panel, titled "Net Cinema" was held at the Directors's Guild. Also on the panel were Stan (the man) Lee and Joe Nussbaum (Lucas in Love).

405 was given an award for Excellence in Digital Entertainment at the Digital Coast 2000 Awards. Bruce Branit and Jeremy Hunt had participated in a panel discussion on funding internet entertainment ventures the previous day of the conference.

Bruce Branit and Jeremy Hunt have signed as directors for commercials and music videos with A Band Apart. They will be part of a stable of directors for the company run by co-executive producers, Micheal Bodnarchek and pioneering independent feature film producer Lawrence Bender.

Bruce and Jeremy appeared on "Digital Jam," a CNN show covering internet related topics. The segment was transmitted via satellite from a studio in West Los Angeles and aired live on CNNfn today. Branit's last name, as has been the custom, was misspelled.

After being featured on msn.com last week, a flood of views have poured in. They were previously not included in Ifilm's total but have now been tabulated. The corrected total now stands at 650,000.

We have decided to replace the crude MPEG with a much better DivX version. Although some will have more difficulty viewing at this format, it is a necessary risk to ensure that viewers will get to see the detail we have put into this movie.
